OEC Skills Are Valuable Everyday

Here's a note I recently received from a previous candidate in our class.  Big congrats to the candidates, patrollers & instructors and all involved for creating a great learning environment that makes the world a better place...

Hi Bill,

Just wanted to reach out and say thank you to you and all the OEC instructors for the training.

I responded to an intense hypoglycemic incident at work. I showed up took a breathe (put on my BSI) and snapped into patrol mode. I felt a bit panicky in my head, based on the high standards of our OEC class, but apparently the training held on my exterior:

"Hi .....,

I wanted to thank you again for your expedient response and assistance on 7/22 involving the medical emergency on the 7th floor.  You arrived within seconds of the incident and delegated responsibilities efficiently and with confidence.  Your training and overall compassion and empathy for the patient made the situation exponentially easier for all parties.  You stayed with xxxxx and I as long as you could, and you truly left an amazing impression on both of us.

Thank you again ...... "

Another example of how the rigors of grinding through weeks of scenarios really matter. Study is cheap, scenarios set the foundation, incidents on the mountain make sure you never forget.

Thank you.
